I'm finally above average in something!

Ahhh this is so good! It is heartening to me that there are still people in the world trying to get the word out that this is not just a cold.

I really wish more folks understood what is still going on with this virus in the world and the dangers that it poses for absolutely everyone.

The dead can't tell you how awful it is, and the people suffering from the long form of Covid don't have the energy to either, so the job falls on those of us who can still communicate about it.

I hate that 98% of people don't give a shit about other people at all and keep spreading this virus. I can't believe that almost nobody took the basics of public health to heart.

Honestly, I have a constant simmering rage about this, and have had for over five years, which is not a fun state in which to exist. Yeah, I am judging you for not caring about other people's health -- or your own.

This 'zine does a good job of covering it all -- and people's resistance to paying attention to it any longer.

I already had almost all of the symptoms that come up as Long #Covid thanks to a different chronic issue; I clearly do not need to catch this virus in order to enjoy those symptoms. (This is sarcasm)

Finally got to take my scavenged 54 year old bike out for a test ride after fixing it up. It's actually pretty nice!

Things it needed:

- New tires & tubes and some rim tape
- Lube in the cables, calipers, and shifter
- Shifter adjustment
- Bodged together fulcrum sleeve and brake cable clamp

Altogether about $50 in parts and a couple hours of fiddling around, and now it's a bike again.

(Lots of cosmetic issues but that can be someone else's problem.)

My doctor has a theory: That #Covid is causing brain damage, specifically in areas of impulse control. So all this horrible behaviour you’re seeing right now is a result multiple #Covid infections. IT’S CAUSING PEOPLE TO BE T-H-E-M-S-E-L-V-E-S This is who they really are. I think dr is right. @[email protected]

@ascentale @MartyCormack @bikenite Berm Peak (Youtuber with MTB focus) gave a good introduction on this a while back

I switched two of my bikes. You can easily switch the valve core for presta valves. (on tubes as well as on tubeless valves) The little while I had them it was really convenient. Switching my "schrader valve bikes" might take some time as the adapters there are too expensive for me. I'll just wait till my existing tubes wear out. #BikeNite #BikeTooter

I guess people elsewhere need a little Hoosier Hospitality: I wear a mask to all commercial, public spaces and public library since Covid hit and NO ONE has said anything to me about my mask. Masked patrons are always a very small minority.
