Reliance on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) appears to be mere wishful thinking. In 2022 CCS has absorbed 40Mt of CO2 and it should scale-up to capture 6000Mt (i.e. 150 times as much) in 2050. Can anyone see that coming? IPCC Report says it's very costly. Why do we bother?

@gianluca_grimalda damn, wish I were in town! I just happen to be in Denmark this week. (Some train debacles getting here, but nothing like what you've faced.) Hope you enjoy the visit

Another @pcirr #innovation is live! @chrisdc77 combined our #Programmatic #RegisteredReport innovation with #IncrementalRegistrations to accommodate a Stage 1 whose #InPrincipleAcceptance will be updated as the Stage 2s come out and inform the next studies in this series of several Stage 2s by Castiglione, @CameronBrick, Esposito, & Bizzego

Putting climate action intervention to the test: Part 1

@drstevenwooding Thanks Steven. Glad to hear it's working for you. I'll find a balance. LinkedIn has been more relevant than I expected.
@sheislaurence Thanks for the advice. You have a polemic way of describing choices I consider banal in the big scope of things.
I have been resisting leaving Twitter because over the years I have enjoyed it a lot, I value the connections, and the alternatives are fragmented. But I increasingly feel that I should leave, or at least go dormant, and move my posting to another community.

🚨Excited to share a new #paper (in press at Emotion Review) with
@CameronBrick and @WilhelmHofmann on #emotions and #biodiversity 🌳🐾

Despite strong links between emotions and biodiversity, #research on these links remains relatively limited. With our paper, we therefore hope to inspire more research on the #emotional dimensions of biodiversity loss and #conservation, and we highlight some of the many #opportunities for researchers (and practitioners) to get involved.

Private jets are a luxury for the ultra-rich who wreck the planet with destructive lifestyles.

North America (basically the USA) is home to more private jets than all other regions of the world COMBINED.

Private jets are ~10 times more polluting per passenger than scheduled flights, and 50 times more than an average train ride.

It's time to #BanPrivateJets

@valkodv really nice to hear. I also find them uniquely constructive
