@indivisibleteam honest question, I read through the first bit of the bill and it states clearly there that REAL ID is an acceptable form of ID. This post suggests a driver’s license isn’t good enough, is MI atypical in having REAL ID driver’s licenses?
I am fully against voter suppression, but there seems to be a disconnect from what I see the bill saying it will do versus what people are suggesting it will be used for.
@rbreich but what about when I invariably (through my hard work and dedication) start making that amount of money? Surely I want to have those tax cuts available to me!

@trabex @rbreich the caveat there is that they are beholden to the federal rates. If a state can opt out federally and also not have their own minimum wage, they could legally pay whatever amount they can get for the work. Freed slaves were given a pittance just to have been ‘paid’. That’s what these folks are trying to allow again.
@rbreich I feel like the part of this that needs the most attention is that big corporations and wealthy folks will move to where laws benefit them the most, but poor and middle class regular people usually don’t have that luxury.

@TechConnectify as a Midwesterner (Michigan!) who enjoyed your original videos, the only thing I subbed out was going for the powder detergent over liquids because I try not to buy plastic bottles and I try to avoid paying for shipped water (an issue I’ve found in a lot of gel and liquid cleaners)

@TechConnectify I switched to an induction stove and had the gas line removed entirely. Recently suggested to a friend with a ‘normal’ resistive hob that they would like induction. They were hesitant until I told them about my time to boil testing. (They do canning).
The ‘gas is better’ narrative is wildly pervasive.
@chrishuck isn’t it pretty well accepted not to try to print PLA and PETG together? Sorry for just questioning the premise instead of trying to troubleshoot the problem, but I’d do PLA on PLA for whatever this project is.
