@SapphicLawyer it’s litigation history doesn’t support that. But I believe it makes bad PR and emphasis choices sometimes.
FIRE notes that TPUSA targeted 61 professors in 2021. FIRE doesn’t note that it sponsored a TPUSA “free speech” event in 2017. One of my criticisms of FIRE is that it occasionally has difficulty distinguishing between free speech supporters and people who support speech they agree with.

Mickee7@rcpierce @Popehat I dipped my toe into that discussion on a YouTube chat. Won't do that again. The Elonites flew in like winged monkeys to defend Elon from inconvenient facts about his weird family. Apparently, in their revised history, Elon is from Lake Woebegone, and his entire family--including dad and stepsister/concubine--is above-average and good-looking.
It's possible I am just in a bit of a mood tbh
