Throwback to 2016: The working model for “The Island - Ebeltoft”. Scale 1:50. 🏝️

This floating stage was developed as a proposal for Aarhus 2017 - European Capital of Culture, designed to host music, art, performances, and community in the harbor.

While the full vision materialized in a smaller form, the iconic structure itself became a beloved landmark in Ebeltoft for years.

Last year, the chapter closed as the physical island was removed. This model remains a snapshot of that ambitious, joyful concept. 📸

Squaring the Circle - Series of kurinuki ceramic sculptures grapples with the paradox of presence and absence. The hollow space - created by the forceful insertion of a round peg into a square block of clay - is the sculpture itself, a void imbued with meaning. The subsequent carving away of material is a quest to reveal the hollow aftermark, yet in doing so, the void’s containment dissolves, and the sculpture’s essence is lost.

This delicate balance between revelation and erasure transforms the act of making into a profound meditation:
