So I understand that the bird site has started blocking links to common/known Mastodon instances, and that doesn't seem like free speech to me. So... I did a thing.

If you go to https://spacekaren.sucks it is now a URL shortener that blocks the twitter user agent. That means you can share that link that will redirect to your Mastodon account without the pouty baby stopping you. Did you know? The first letter of "ye" was originally a "thorn" (þ), which dropped out of our alphabet. It was pronounced like our modern "th," and "ye" (originally, "þe") was just "the." A mistake based on similarity turned "þe" into "ye."

But it's not too late! Pronounce "ye" with a "th" sound. And if you're really bold, start writing "th" with a thorn again.

Also, the word "olde" is pretty new, but þat's for anoþer day... (See how it could work?)
