Big Bad Biologist. Doggo daddo. Alliteration Aficionado. (I'm a retro computing enthusiast that livestreams a lot of my restoration work, normally at noon eastern on Saturdays)

The PicoGUS is such an amazing piece of technology that @polpo has developed. I want to get one working in my custom wood/glass SBC 486 with external enameled wire ISA bus. Let's poke it with the oscilloscope Saturday at noon eastern to figure out what the problem is. https://youtube.com/live/q7gv79ilp7k?feature=share
Just goes to show you that if you buy terrible ewaste for three years, you’ll eventually find something cool!
This week is going way better. I fixed the Mac Plus, my washing machine, and my lawnmower! This Mac SE popped up on marketplace. Normally I wouldn't be into a regular SE, but it looks like it has a video card. Let's see what's inside Thursday (3rd) at 10:30AM eastern. #vintagemacintosh https://youtube.com/live/qEblIHcC_58?feature=share
This week has totally destroyed my confidence as a fixer, as everything I touched is in worse condition than when I started. Let's see if I can build back a little credibility by rebuilding this Mac Plus that was hit with a battery bomb. Saturday (28th) at noon eastern. #vintagemac https://youtube.com/live/qBDJf4j-_uQ?feature=share
I woke up craving chocolate and peanut butter, which reminded me of the time we found bad stuff hiding in our Halloween candy. https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkxwy42kyeGqfynoyTHKbWMv4VE6_b0JhQr?si=J3c_cnyGEPNZHbDv
If this works, it may be my greatest use of enameled wire yet! (Trying to fix a $70 check valve that is just a small piece of rubber)
“Yeah, I can get a couple hours of house destruction in before it gets too hot.” Nope. I’m not very smart.
Forbidden jello! (Trying to figure out why my Samsung washing machine randomly shuts off, and the boards have some kind of thick, gooey conformal coating)
I don’t want to spoil tomorrow’s stream, but I tried citric acid for the first time in my ultrasonic bath. Holy poo! It’s my new favorite additive!
On Saturday's (21st) noon eastern stream, we'll work on this Varta-bombed ECS NEATsx 386sx motherboard that I picked up at MIT Swapfest last weekend. I'll have some updates about the SIMM->SIPP conversion and the mystery 286 board. https://youtube.com/live/KgbgS44QJiU?feature=share
