#indiedev #gamedev #godotengine Day 20!

Finished up the next level (at least in function)

The rest of today will be sketching out the next level. Trying to make this next one without coming up with new mechanics 😅

Here's a quick video of the minimap, shortcut, and new level

Another day down!

The lobby level is coming together. Here's a small demo of the virtual desktop I've been putting together over the past few days.

Big issue right now is how to _hide_ cameras initially while still making them jumpable later on.

But so far, I'm feeling good. #indiedev #gamedev

putting in some late night #gamedev

got some blue glitch materials made to denote guards.

Also made a really simple cop hat, but haven't got it rigged and in-engine yet.

Awe yeeeeah. It's coming together.

What are they doing?

Summoning the great "E" ofc.

#indie #gamedev day 5

Yesterday I sketched out and a new first level. A corporate lobby

I made the level in blender and added a small crowd which walks through it.

Here's a sped up video of the room and the little Nelbits walking across it.

#indie #gamedev day 3.

Yesterday I took my first whack at an NPC walk cycle.

I'm a programmer, so naturally my art skills are a little lacking, but I don't think it came out too bad.

Today will be mainly making sure the
scale of everything is consistent and wiring the walk cycle to the path following system, so it doesn't look too floaty.

Here's a video of the test room with cameras, terminals, and the walk cycle.

Surprisingly tricky to stay focused at work without a team relying on your output.

Today I’ve been mainly working on getting some simple characters made and some walk cycles put together.

I spent longer than I’d like to admit getting my work area set up, so I pretty much just made a single human today (thanks MakeHuman). I call him Nelbit. He’s got a weird smile and some problems with his shoulder.

And so it begins #riscv
It took me this many tries to get a texture I liked.
