It's been a while since I have been on here. It's hard to find time to be online or outdoors as much anymore. But I couldn't say not to doing another #Spider table at the National Butterfly Center for #EarthDay today. Always exciting to talk about #spiders.

I wasn't able to decorate for #Halloween this year so I took my recently rescued #BlackWidow for a walk. My neighbors who decorated said it was a really good way to end their Halloween night.

I don't normally keep spiders, but having a widow this time of year is good for doing spider presentations. I got her just a couple days after my last presentation so this was her first time out. She was very cooperative.

Pirate Spiders don't get their name from wearing eye patches and peg legs. They take food from other spider's web and frequently attack and eat the spider. They pluck the strands of their victim's web to imitate a mate or prey. #Arachtober #spider #macrophotography #arachnid
