Funding halted for hearing and visually impaired students by the department of education. https://bsky.app/profile/propublica.org/post/3lyly7xdmvg2h

Citing concerns about DEI, the Department of Education has halted funding for programs that support students with combined hearing and vision loss in eight states. “How low can you go?” one advocate asked. “How can you do this to children?” By @jodiscohen.bsky.social @jsmithrichards.bsky.social https://www.propublica.org/article/trump-dei-students-education-deaf-blind-grant-funding?utm_campaign=propublica-sprout&utm_content=1757636106&utm_medium=social&utm_source=bluesky

anyone recommend bluetooth bone conduction headphones with mic that wouldn't interfere with hearing aids? Looking at the Shokz Openmeet but kind of hate to give them my business as their web site is crap. Ugh, Accessibee. Just using these for work.

It's (well past) time to impeach RFK Jr. You can sign a petition to help!

Also: (very) old issues of Scientific American magazine were very, very odd.

Impeach RFK Jr.

Also, a jaunt through old issues of Scientific American in search of Neptune

#PPOD: ESO’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) has obtained new images of 3I/ATLAS, an interstellar object discovered last week. Identified as a comet, its highly eccentric hyperbolic orbit, unlike that of objects in the Solar System, gave away its interstellar origin. In this image, several VLT observations have been overlaid, showing the comet as a series of dots that move to the right of the image over approximately 13 minutes on the night of July 3, 2025. "In about 10 hours of observations, NSF–DOE @VRubinObs discovered 2104 never-before-seen asteroids in our Solar System, including seven near-Earth asteroids (which pose no danger)."

Find all the asteroids.

I am furious — incandescently furious — over the attacks on science by Trump and his regime, especially the actions of RFK Jr., which, *as history has plainly show us*, result in deaths upon deaths.

You want the receipts? I've got the receipts.

that should be the Librarian of Congress
the orange in chief has fired the Library of Congress. One of my fears is they will eventually go after Bard.
Is anyone else having an issue now with speeding up the playback in YouTube on iOS? I used to have no trouble with this but something has changed and I haven’t found the secret to speeding of playback now.
