I started reading about the history of US #colonialism in South America over the last century. Yesterday, I found out a gallery owner in town emigrated from #Chile. I asked her to tell me about Pinochet. According to her, Allende was trying to kill all the poor people so Pinochet came in and saved them.
Now, I'll admit to being an ignorant fool, but I'm pretty sure that's not accurate.
I've been eyeing a copy of the Pinochet File; any other recommendations?

The next door neighbors are having a tiff with the folks on the other side of them, so they put in a Blink camera. Soon as I saw it, I went over to check how it was angled. Lady comes home, and 15 minutes later comes out to ask me why I was looking at their camera; standing there in a Corporate Death Burger shirt trying to convince me their wireless camera doesn't impinge on my privacy or security.

Even as a child, I've always had a SERIOUS philosophical bent. Thankfully, Ive also always been suffused with an overwhelming skepticism of LITERALLY EVERYTHING. I only started reading philosophical & religious texts within the last couple of years, and boy am I glad I ignored the shit out of them until now.
