Here is my reason #7 Feeling more legitimate to speak up! Even thought I published my work on international journals, I do not always feel legitimate to speak up about #pollutants in the #Arctic
I am a seabird ecotoxicologit, specialised in the study of contaminants in the Arctic. But I have not always been a scientist. My first career was as a bank officer. Once I realized this career was not for me, I quitted my job in 2008 to study ecology at the university, from scratch. I finally got my PhD in 2020, at 36 years old.

Today, I am starting my new position as #postdoc of
Arctic Station, West Greenland,
with Copenhagen University & Biology department.
I will be in Copenhagen for a few weeks before moving to Greenland.
Really excited about this new chapter of my life & new scientific projects!

#3 Gain #leadership skills.
I am from this generation of women that was taught to be nice and smile. Even though I have been working on, it’s still very present & I want the tools from professional to feel stronger as a female scientist.

While climate change & consequences on polar bears are well communicated, contamination by pollutants & their effects are less known by the public!
