The Graf Zeppelin visits DC (Oct. 1928). Between the overcast sky and slight overexposure of the negative, it’s a bit spectral & hard to see; it’s more or less in the center of the visible sky, straight up from the Amoco signs.

The LoC caption describes this as “Zeppelin over 13th St.,” but we’re really looking west on E St. NW from 11th St. At left is the Hotel Harrington, still operating today. At right is the Perpetual Building Association, long since demolished, its name notwithstanding.
