If I were a power-mad dictator, I would at least do the country a few favors: make child labor illegal again, banning prison slavery, decriminalizing homelessness, legalizing gas cans that will actually let you put gas in things, rather than just spill all over yourself, and all non-embedded computing devices would be strictly banned, except a cycle-accurate reimplementation of the PDP-10 Model KS10, which a freshly nationalized HPE would be required to produce in high volume. A slightly modernized version of ITS would be the only permitted operating system. There would be strict limits on total disk storage, but there would be no limits on 9 track tape reels. No tape robots, though. Oh, and the WPA would be reinstated, tasked with fixing all the bridges they built, last time around.
Finished the 50 question final exam in just over 9 minutes, and scored 100%. I learned one very important thing from this class: I'd rather not be responsible for supporting Epic. Not sure yet if I'm going to finish the last 3 classes in the Fall, get my healthcare IT credential, then go learn to be a diesel heavy equipment tech, or if I'm going to write-off the last few years as sunk time and start on the wrenching right away.
