@dev this may be the best slide deck of all time
@dan @dev "goose was not valued" is what I'll mutter from now on when leaving faculty meetings
@regehr @dan @dev say what you will about Masayoshi SON, the man knows how to value a losing goose. Never met a bad bet he could walk away from.
@regehr @dan @dev thank you for linking the deck this is amazing boomer brainrot
@SnoopJ @regehr @dan @dev I'm just wondering if there are any inputs to the goose system or if it is a perpetual egg laying machine
@aburka @SnoopJ @dan @dev I think it works same as tomatoes
@regehr @aburka @dan @dev when you definitely, positively understand both yields and tomatoes
@SnoopJ @regehr @dan @dev do golden eggs also develop into geese with internal mechanisms though
@aburka @SnoopJ @regehr @dan @dev Yes, all the golden eggs develop this way. Honest, guv.
@SnoopJ @regehr @aburka @dan @dev simply harvest 3.9 million tomatoes and sell them for $1 each!
@tedmielczarek @SnoopJ @regehr @aburka @dan @dev Former tomato greenhouse farmworker here. I have questions.

@mconley

Have you worked there for at least 2 years? If yes, geez, you must be rich!

@tedmielczarek @SnoopJ @regehr @aburka @dan @dev

@SnoopJ @regehr @aburka @dan @dev Also, when you definitely understand that immigrants magically don't exist or need to be paid but their labor still exists for free or maybe you think tomatos are like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and they'll pick and plant themselves in those field for you or something.

@regehr @aburka @SnoopJ @dan @dev

"Plant the tomatoes on whose land, Nick? Whose land?"

PS: Land ownership is a concept with some interesting looking challenges from Georgist economics. I like the notion of abolishing it and supporting ownership-like land use by renting land from everyone else.

Or with some Indigenous systems, where residents are owned •by• the land.

@regehr @aburka @SnoopJ @dan @dev this man does not understand acreage, transportation, or tomato buying reticence
@regehr 3.9mm tomatoes are tiny, what are you supposed to do with them? No one's gonna give you $ for one of them. 2 years I spent and all I got was this tiny tomato!
