Five months after the demolition of the White House’s #EastWing, #Trump claimed that the project to construct a massive #ballroom & a bunker in its place would cost up to $400 million & that private donors would pay for all of it.
“This is taxpayer-free. We have no taxpayer putting up 10 cents,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on March 31, describing the project as including bomb shelters & major medical facilities.

Those records, as well as invoices & correspondence, provide the clearest accounting yet of #Trump’s most ambitious construction project in the nation’s capital. The project is deeply unpopular with most Americans, & even some Republican lawmakers have balked at funding it.

@Nonilex Where is this money coming from? Just looted from the Treasury without Congressional appropriation? I guess this is what happens when a criminal organization like the Trump crime family takes over a major country. They can keep ignoring the laws, but now on a larger scale.
I just want to remind everyone, that Trump has clearly abandoned the rule of law. Should we still feel bound by it? Trump does not pay taxes; should we? Submitting a W-4 and claiming additional credits on line 3 so that nothing is withheld from your paycheck for federal taxes is easy. Lying on the form is against the law, though Trump has ended the rule of law, so does that even matter? Why not make sure your W-4 form is up to date and correct with your employer today?
