This is what a trendy architect's office looked like in around 1935. I saw it at the Sonneveld House on a recent trip to Rotterdam. I love Modernism, and this is Modernism at its very peak.

@RickGaehl Wow, I would have guessed 1970s (all the beige and orange!)
@ccferrie Looks like they were ahead of the curve. 😊
@RickGaehl No drafting table though πŸ™πŸ€”
@Taskerland I think the drawing office was elsewhere - he probably had staff to do that. 😊

@RickGaehl
You know what, apart from the colour scheme that wouldn't look too out of place today.

And in fact those 1970s colours are back, at least in clothing fashion, so maybe that office is the peak of mid-2020s interior design!

@losttourist What goes around, comes around, eh? πŸ˜‰

@losttourist

More photos of the interior here from a trip we made in 2022, if you're interested. Superbly stylish, but some of the colours would definitely be an acquired taste.

Yes, the gold wallpaper was a bit strange.

@RickGaehl awesome representation, never was my cup of tea.
