(1.) “Freedom of speech, just watch what you say.” — Ice-T
(2.) Talk’s cheap. Maybe someday we'll see some action.
(1.) Never post anything online that you wouldn’t want to hear read back in court. It might be misconstrued.
(2.) Palentir, etc. are reading over our shoulder. (Hi, guys. How’s it hanging?)
(3.) As I frequently state online: Crimes are bad. Don’t incite any. If someone wants to know why not, tell them it’s because I said so.
@LevZadov 1 - i abide but i cannot control how my words are construed, i can only defend them if called to
2 - its true
3 - i disagree on semantic grounds. crimes are decided by the state which is not a moral authority. many laws have been unjust, many legal things are unjust. transgressions against others and nature are whats bad. i would repeat this to a jury and remind them slavery used to be and uh oh still is legal.
Have you ever been in court?
Syntax matters in court. Legally, stating an opinion is not incitement. Our opinions are irrelevant.
"We'd be better off if Trump suddenly died” is legal to say.
“Kill the president is not.

Unless you are actively *not* inciting, you’re vulnerable if the powers that be decide to take you to court.
Court is not a debate society. It’s a tool of oppression. The powers that be make the rules. Rules can be skirted, but not defied without consequences. If you intend to break the rules, remember that all crimes follow the same rules:
(1.) Have no witnesses.
(2.) Leave no evidence.
(3.) STFU
The last one is the hardest to follow. The impulse to brag is part of the human condition. By suppressing it you, too, can be a successful criminal. Or you can brag and deal with the consequences.
Court, and the laws it enforces have nothing to do with justice. Laws are will of the ruling class enforced by their minions, the politicians who write the laws and cops who enforce them.
“In the halls of justice, the only justice is in the halls” — Lenny Bruce
For example, #Vaccines, #Porn, #Abortion, #Transrights, #Consent, the #WarOnDrugs, and #Sexwork are all the same issue: Who owns your body, you or the state?
But that’s not the issue. The issue is who decides.
FWIW, we would *not* be better off if Trump suddenly died. He’s not the leader of the American fascist movement. He’s their current mascot, and not the first, either. He can be replaced. He *would* be replaced, by Thiel’s puppet Vance.
Our real problem is not whatever individuals the system has currently put in power. It’s the system itself. Any system that not only allows, but actively enables, psychopaths to hold power is a threat our future. The system itself must change, not the figurehead.
Sad, but currently still true.
