New policy from #Atlassian:

Unless you opt out by August 17th 2026, data from Jira and Confluence will automatically be used for AI training. Some data cannot be opted out at all on some plans.

@kepano I'm aware of some healthcare providers using Confluence to store patient data. I'm sure this is all perfectly in line with the spirit of GDPR (or HIPAA).

@elricofmelnibone @kepano I don't aim to defend Atlassian but if you are storing PID on a platform you don't control and not designed for that purposem then the policy change is only part of a much bigger problem.

Well, as long you assume it is handled truly as described. But your are trusting them your data to start with, so this again is the least concern.

Okay maybe in the sense that it sets a precedent, that might come for true data as well on free plan eventually.. that would be bad.
