How do you deal with #biking when air quality is bad, versus hydration? Simple answer is "wear a mask", but then instead of sipping from bottle as you ride, you need to stop, take everything off (possibly including helmet), then gear back up before continuing. "Don't bother with a mask" is also an option that exists, but, well. Anyone has any advice?

@viq @bikenite Not necessarily. SIP valves can be put into your masks and I find they work very well.

You may not be able to drink on the fly as much as with a water bottle and no mask, but you will not have to stop and take everything off. You just stick the straw in the bottle, then the straw into the valve and you're drinking.

@meganL @bikenite oh, sorry, my first time interacting with BikeNite, I wasn't aware that's how it works

@viq No worries. It's not like the context of the hashtag is obvious when it's auto-populated. #BikeTooter or #Cycling are more general-purpose bike hashtags but there are a lot.

BikeNite is a hashtag and group that handles the (a)synchronous weekly chat on community-submitted bike topics. 7 are picked each week and tooted out on Fridays. More info here:

@viq I tried to ask for and compile some of the major cycling hashtags here:
