How do you deal with #biking when air quality is bad, versus hydration? Simple answer is "wear a mask", but then instead of sipping from bottle as you ride, you need to stop, take everything off (possibly including helmet), then gear back up before continuing. "Don't bother with a mask" is also an option that exists, but, well. Anyone has any advice?

@viq @bikenite Not necessarily. SIP valves can be put into your masks and I find they work very well.

You may not be able to drink on the fly as much as with a water bottle and no mask, but you will not have to stop and take everything off. You just stick the straw in the bottle, then the straw into the valve and you're drinking.

@meganL @bikenite it needs to be a pretty hard straw to go through the valve, I think 🤔 Which makes me worried about safety of drinking while in motion. Or am I wrong?
But either way, even stopping to get a sip without having to take everything off would be an improvement.
@viq @bikenite What you buy from them includes their straws. But they're not especially hard. They're smaller gauge.
