@dgar

Shit. I froze, but took the poll, so my answer's wrong.

Shit, shit. Now I've taken the poll, and left a response, so even my last answer was wrong. Stop doing this to me! 😂

@thefathippy oh, go all in and quote it on your timeline now! 😂🤣

@dgar

You bastard! 😂😂😂

@thefathippy @dgar this was one of the best traps for people with a condition that should be called “analitus logicae” - after a version of your trip I was forces to choose “vote and comment” even though that’s technically not true because usually I skip them - bwaaah and I can’t not comment because I’ve already pressed that!!! You bastard!!😁😁
@DMTomas @thefathippy @dgar
Thank you for mentioning the "analitus logicae" term.
@sloanlance @thefathippy @dgar you are most welcome (fellow sufferer?;) - just trying to raise awareness=)
@dgar I'm usually 50-50 on whether to leave a comment or not after responding to a poll, but I think I'll comment this time. :)
@dgar depending on poll I will either watch results or take it, boosting if I really interested in poll. But will always read a poll, thanks for freezing me, can I go back to scrolling
@kotking of course! ✌️
@dgar depends on the poll theme
there are too many choices
@dozymoe maybe that should also be a choice, and, oh dear, there are now even more choices...
@dgar Take, boost the poll and comment
@dgar The option ○ "Read it's from Dgar and of course I shall read and participate"

@dgar

Sehr unterschiedlich, hängt von der Frage ab. Nehme meist teil und kommentiere auch gern, wenn mir dazu etwas einfällt.

@dgar @mousey Make a snarky comment about how expecting “ignore it” votes indicates a fundamental optimism in your nature.
@dgar I only take certain polls, and as that's not an option in this poll, I didn't take it 😅
@pinky this is definitely an uncertain poll. 🤭
@dgar I ignored it and continued scrolling. Margin of error, right?
@dgar depends on the poll

@dgar ok so with this comment i lied in the poll because, well, i'm commenting now. (but usually i take all the polls. all of them. stealthily, no comments.)

but i couldn't help but notice that at this time 257 people have taken it and 17 people have boosted it, which is significantly less than the 20 percent that claim to do so.

we're all liars and our pants are on fire!

@dgar though when i look again there are 89 boosts. i should learn not to trust mastodons first sights.

@maria @dgar now that the poll is closed, we have 1853 answers*0.16(ppl who say boost)= 296 theoretical boosts vs 334 boosts

From this I conclude the liars are not the ones who took the poll but the ones who didn't take the poll and boosted anyway (maybe some bots?)

@ebrum @dgar i applaude you mathing the lying participants of this poll!
@dgar Comment that the correct option for me is missing and the pollster is a total %^&#@
(-;

@dgar

All of the above.

@dgar

Take the poll and leave a comment

Because even though you included a large number of options, the most fitting one isn't there:
Take the poll, boost it and leave a comment about the missing option, and to explain your choice to make sure they don't misinterpret the compromise selection I made.

@dgar I just click on the "show results" button then move on, mostly (but this time I left a comment as well :)
@bencourtice @dgar
there is a "show results" button without taking the poll? 😳
@raVeN @dgar on Tusky there is. You don't see it?
@dgar I clicked „unable to move“, boosted and liked the poll, what‘s wrong with me?

@dgar *Votes "take the poll", then decides to boos it anyways.*
5 seconds later: Decided to also comment this fact.

Have fun knowing that your poll results will be inaccurate 😈😂

@dgar

Depends on the poll

@dgar

What to do with a poll about what to do when presented with a poll? This could be the start of an infinite regression.

@riggbeck @dgar To which I will note that to understand recursion one must first understand recursion.
@dgar ✅ Vibe code a mastodon voting bot and massive account manager to vote on your favorite thing
@dgar it very much depends on the topic whether I take part or not. I do sometimes share without taking part! Otherwise I panic!!! Dont ask why cos I dont know.
@dgar Actually, to me, it depends on whether the poll is interesting or not
@dgar Depends what it's about.
@dgar
Selected Take & Boost the poll. Yet perversely, as I type this comment I have not hit Boost yet.
Also, it does depend on the poll, so it could have been a, scroll on by scenario instead 🤷.
Let's hope I remember to hit the poll's boost button.
@dgar I almost always take the poll. I may also comment or boost, but more rarely. This one amused me enough to boost.
@dgar sometimes I take it but I always look at the results🙈
@dgar You didn’t include “deliberately contaminate the poll with fake answers”
@dgar I'm too honest for this shit.
@dgar I click "show results" without taking the poll myself 🙂
