The central city of Łódź is hoping to stop buying used trams - apparently also by building its own. Designs for a new model to be built in-house by the city's own municipal transport company MPK Łódź, known for 105Na/805Na series modernizations colloquially referred to as "żelazka" (clothing irons), are to be unveiled by the end of this year and a prototype would be ready in 2028.
