@Taco_lad I panicked about the amount of produce suddenly filling up my benches, and decided to go with a Japanese-inspired #fermented cucumber. I remembered I had purchased a bunch furikake and dashi, so I went a little easy on the salt, but went hard on the other seasonings.

Not sure yet what I'm going to do with it all, but that basil, parsley & the spring onions are destined to be pesto this evening.

Pesto sounds good & those pumpkins will last a while anyway. I think I’ve tasted tomatillos before & I’m pretty sure I wasn’t a fan. I really regretted not planting chillies this year. Next year though.

@feather1952 Tomatillos are definitely and acquired taste, but -- like almost everything else -- they are delicious once #fermented.

My chilli haul is quite disappointing, given the number I planted: the tomatoes & climbing beans smothered most of my poor chilli seedlings. Next year, they shall have separate beds.
