Ich werfe heute mal eine Frage in die Runde, die mich schon länger beschäftigt: Das Thema alternative Betriebssysteme auf dem Smartphone. 📱✨
Ich schaue mir gerade verschiedene Wege an, um weg von den Standard-Systemen zu kommen. Dabei stolpere ich immer wieder über spannende Projekte wie #LineageOS, frage mich aber: Was nutzt ihr eigentlich im Alltag?
Nutzt ihr LineageOS (mit oder ohne GApps)?
Habt ihr Erfahrungen mit anderen Custom-ROMs oder Systemen wie #UbuntuTouch oder #SailfishOS?
Oder seid ihr doch beim klassischen Android/iOS geblieben, weil die Bequemlichkeit siegt?
Ich suche nach dem richtigen Weg für mehr digitale Souveränität, ohne dass der Alltag zur Bastelbude wird. Was sind eure Empfehlungen oder Warnungen? 🕵️‍♂️

@systemleicht I ordered the Jolla phone because: 1- I did not feel like tinkering with custom ROM's 2- with all the crap surrounding android being a Google based OS and their shennanigans I wanted to avoid that all together because you never know what's going to happen next to screw consumers over 3- I detest Apple and always have because of their absolute locked in proprietary mindset 4- I use Linux at home and Jolla's OS is based on Linux.

On a standard Android phone, about 60% to 70% of the background activity is tied to Google Play Services, which most people don't even realize they don't necessarily need. It's crazy how much bloatware and data tracking is pre-installed. Going Linux-native with Jolla definitely cuts all that noise out!"
