I think stress dreams should count as billable hours
@aeva seeing how my dreamscape revolved around minio and s3 buckets all night that could be a viable way to make a living
@aeva My brother had an epic shitty week at work and was really unhappy. Then he woke up and it was IRL Monday morning.
@aeva i would send an invoice to my university for the "oh god its the final and i haven't been to class all semester " dreams 😝️
@aeva fuck I could retire early
@aeva not even kidding you can bill them. When at a job I'd deduct work time during the week if it used too much of my brain space during the weekend

@aeva I have literally worked multiple shifts of my previous job in dreams. And even suffered being chewed out by a boss for not being good enough by their standards despite working harder than the rest. Aka a completely normal day at that job.

I really do deserve a paycheck for that.

@aeva @schtaks I had a boss once upon a time who would say that if you are thinking about the project, that time is billable (since it has value to the client). That would make stress dreams billable, I guess?
@joe @aeva @schtaks Exactly what I was taught, too.
@aeva if only ... 💰
@aeva I would be so wealthy
@aeva or at least a workout
@aeva would that for the objective time (the hours of actual sleep) or subjective time (I dreamt about a 3hour meeting / a very bad week)
@TjenWellens depends on how bad the dream was
@aeva My former employer owes me big time if they were. Quit 3 years ago and still dream of that place
@aeva i dreamed macaulay culkin died
@hipsterelectron is that good
@aeva @hipsterelectron don't knock the man he's a good cookie
@aeva my stress dreams are usually about missing a bus or getting on the wrong train, but I still agree 🥴

@aeva

I'd have a lot of money for that.
Tons of money for that!

@aeva Great idea.

"I lost sleep to your shitty project, Ros. What's your cost Centre, I'm cross charging your dept."
