So OnlyOffice is not FOSS because of the AGPL additions that can't be met (you have to use the trademark, but aren't allowed to use the trademark). So EuroOffice can't be built legally.

LibreOffice and Collabora Office are in a fight about governance and contributions. The codebase is old.

"GNOME office" (Abiword, Gnumeric) isn't really developed anymore.

KDE Calligra Office is modern and beautiful, but lacking features.

I think I go back to LaTeX and markdown for all word processing documents. But for spreadsheets? I don't know yet. I will check Calligra Sheets, but I'm not tech savvy enough to contribute seriously.

@lerothas Geht es dir bei OnlyOffice ums FOSS? Ich hab mein Microsoft dadurch ersetzt und fühlte mich gut. Und jetzt hab ich wieder den Gedanken, ob das doch „falsch“ war. Weißt, wie ich mein?

Absolut weiß ich das!

OnlyOffice ist schon lange unter Beschuss aufgrund seiner Verflechtungen nach Russland und damit die mögliche Unerreichbarkeit des Projekts, wenn es unter Sanktionen fällt.

Wenn man jetzt noch nicht mal den Code forken darf, dann war es das... :(

Also die entwickelnde Firma sitzt in Litauen, glaube ich, aber die meisten Entwickler kommen aus Russland. Und so weiter...

@lerothas Als ich EuroOffice gelesen hatte, war ich schon voll hyped. Und dann kam der Nachsatz, dass sie eben Stress mit OnlyOffice haben. So ätzend.

PS: Ist doch gut, wenn du mir das sagst. Lieber so als anders. Und ich bin immer froh über mehr Wissen. Lerne täglich dazu. Und der erste Schritt (weg von MS) war ja gut.
