#Listening to a recording of Thomas Benjamin Wild Esq's live recital in a menswear store, for his hilariously on-point melody I've No More F***s To Give! This tune is Today I Feel Like Not Doing Anything for chapcore fans;

This is exactly how I felt after working packout at the final Splore. After a week of doing fuck all and giving literally zero fucks, I started to get a few fucks back in the fuck tank : P

BTW If you don't like seeing copious 'fucks' in your feed from time to time, you probably won't enjoy following my account.

Also, I have ADHD and I forget fucking Content Warnings exist. Or I just can't be fucked using up precious characters on them, from my 500 character budget per post (Mastodon 🙄 I know, I know, I could set up an account using different fediverse software, but quite frankly I can't be fucked).

#ContentWarning #introductions

A UX improvement to @Mastodon that might increase usage of Content Warnings; stop counting the text in them against the 500 char limit. Give them their own separate (shorter) limit, maybe 200 characters or less? Something to consult on with people who think it's useful to write long Content Warnings.

@strypey No, content warnings only work for a very few, very clear categories. The issue isn't with the char limit, it's with the fact that the author can't possible know ever possible trigger warning for all of their potential readers. It's a good idea that just doesn't scale.
@Scott Jenson Exactly, I agree. I prefer the option of using hashtags that each follower can mute on their own.

@Strypey

I don't disagree with what @scottjenson says here. Content Warnings certainly aren't a silver bullet. Some people use them liberally, while others (like us) use them only for the most extreme and clearcut situations. Like @hamiller I hashtag liberally, to people can both find and filter my posts as appropriate.

But the fact remains that CWs counting against the character count in @Mastodon posts stops people from using them when they otherwise would. This is something they could fix.
