Today's car is the Mitsuoka Viewt, which I have dubbed "Temu Jaguar".

"The Mitsuoka Viewt is a series of retro-styled subcompact cars sold by the Japanese automaker Mitsuoka, intended to resemble the 1963 Jaguar Mark 2."

Given most of the Mitsuoka models are hand built, I think your designation is a touch harsh.

You gotta be impressed by any company where one of their cars has a 'production run' of five cars.

@rdm They've completely ripped off another car's style. I'm not too impressed with that.

@weirdonwheels
There is a long, long history of coach builders doing just that.

There are several British and Australian companies that have done very well out of imitating various classic sports coupes, usually based on VW chassis and drivetrains.

So, yeah., I'll even cut them slack there.

@weirdonwheels I've always been a fan, especially of the Mitsuoka Himiko
@Hainan_Bob That's a bit more original, so I'll give them that. Nice lines. It's the fact that the other one is basically a direct ripoff that rubbed me the wrong way.
@weirdonwheels That looks like a Mk2 Jag in exactly the same way as a VW Beetle looks like a 911.
@weirdonwheels
It is a nice homage to the original but I can't quite see John Thaw behind the wheel in it. 😁

@weirdonwheels

That's adorable and I kinda want one.
