Seems like a good day to remind everyone that Trump’s ex-wife Ivana wasn’t an American citizen until 1988. She gave birth to Don Junior in 1977, Ivanka in 1981, and Eric in 1984. — Let’s cancel their birthright citizenship first.

@Strandjunker The executive order states two different situations where a person is no longer a U.S. citizen at birth.[2]

When the mother was unlawfully present in the U.S. and the father was neither a U.S. citizen nor a lawful permanent resident when the person was born.[2]
When the mother was in the U.S. in temporary status, such as a student visa, work visa, tourist visa or under the Visa Waiver Program, and the father was neither a U.S. citizen nor a lawful permanent resident when the person was born.[2]

The executive order states that these provisions are only effective for people born 30 days or more after the date of the order; it would have only applied to children born beginning February 19, 2025 had it not been blocked.[2]

Just thing of the machinations that will go on at the hospital. The mother you describe will claim that the father was a citizen or resident. Then there will be patrimony DNA tests, leading to a nationwide DNA registry.

This is leading down a dark and stinky hole.

How many apartments did #Trump sell or rent to #Russian or #Chinese expectant mothers?

One thing no one mentions is that a U.S. citizen has a lifelong tax liability to the U.S. whether or not they are resident here. It's potentially profitable for the U.S., if we had an #IRS to collect the money.
