Diesel subsidies for things other than food should be slashed, & even on food, should be gradually wound down to speed transition.

I don’t know a lot about long haul food transportation & electric tech to know if really big long haul EVs are yet a viable alternative. Maybe battery tech needs to evolve more first, but withdrawing diesel subsidies would stimulate battery tech investment. And long haul EV trains?
