Jennifer Kayla | Theogrin 🦊To the extent conversion torture 'works', it functions by forcing people to put up an iron mask of normalcy, to pretend to be whatever the torturer wants. This is not unique to conversion torture - it's the fundamental point of torture. The torturer's goal is to twist the subject of their horrors into something else, whether that be someone more pliant, or someone who's 'converted', or someone who confesses -- or someone who's straight. No matter what, the goal is that the person subjected to such torture is not the same person who comes out.
No matter what, the objective is death.

Yup, It took 70+ million people to remove 9 Trans women from the NCAA. Which seems a horrible waste of time when the problem is decent pay, lack of housing, cost of food & fuel, Oh and no wars. Does eliminating those 9 make the world a better place to live. That's the goal of

People who wish they could reinstate the death penalty for being queer like in the good old days, or like in parts of Africa where radical Christian preachers, quite often from the US, have been working for decades.

Indeed, #ABA is just conversion therapy for autistics. Invented by the same people for the same purpose — making everyone "normal", regardless of how they feel about it, or what it does to who they are.
