@wdlindsy I have a good friend who is a Colonel. He was the facility commander of this USAF computing center that was my customer at SGI. Still good friends with him. And people like Hegseth are what they call "Gucci warriors". They are commissioned officers who got a commission because they're rich. Nothing more. Nothing less. They're rich boys who have never really seen combat. My friend is a Gucci warrior - he's an MIT USAF brat, and calls himself that. A lot of warrior bros are like that.
