What is astonishing is that saying something like this doesn't instantly render them and their supporters unelectable. In America you can say the most horrific garbage and Americans will vote for you if you also claim you'll keep eggs and "gas" cheap.

@Soozcat @georgetakei What saddens me is that even if 99% of Americans are as thick as 2 short planks glued together it would mean about 3 million of you are doomed to live under the insane governments elected by these dumb fucks. Of course more than 1% of Americans are intelligent which makes the statistics even worse.
And I won't kid myself that this is a uniquely American problem. UK - Brexit. NL - Wilders. Germany - AfD. Hungary - Orbán. Italy - Meloni. Slovakia. France. Poland, etc.
