Kat decided we needed to go to the junk shop (Remo #recycling / #reuse shop)… now we own more junk. 😂

Kat spotted LED strings and decided they match the 2026 EMF theme. Spaaaaccccceeee!

I got some pleathery stuff & felt, plan to stamp out a disc to go under the thead spool on the Singer. Kat got some other fabric scraps.

I couldn't resist pads of sticky backed neoprene and a random cylinder of foam, useful things to have in the materials store.

I finally grabbed one of the cylinders of POM-C, been eyeing them for months… no immediate use, but it looks like good stock material for CNC.

In two separate parts of the store I found lanyards and bags with the bits that clip onto them. These are going to be used for our #EMFCamp #Tildagon badges.

Finally I grabbed a small stack of plastic petri dishes, one of which will be put to immediate use to chit some parsnip seeds for the #allotment.

#Electronics, #CNC, #gardening, #sewing all in one post lol… it's like #EMFCamp in our house.

The LED string shown lit up is the only one of four that is complete and working. There is another complete one, but it has several breaks in it, and at least one clueless attempt to fix it (the -ve and +ve wires have been soldered directly together mid-string). The other two are in two pieces each. But it's all fixable, just need to decide what we want of it really. Probably not worth spending the time fixing them as-is as mains-plug-in strings unless we know we want to use them that way... they may otherwise make for useful fine-wired LEDs to insert into other projects.

That's two petri dishes put to use for parsnip seed chitting.

* Real Seeds "Tender & True"
* Unwins "Improved Hollow Crowned"

I chit parsnip seeds for efficiency and consistency. Means I can place out an even grid of parsnips with pretty much guaranteed success at each planting position. Which is much less faff than planting out rows, hoping, and thinning.
