Sickbags all round 🤮🤮🤮 as yet another opportunist thinks that an overproduced #podcast by a muppet who shot her own foot is some sort of a remedy for political crisis. The UK's so-called #LabourParty is fooked, with or without Rayner.

One thing is certain: #Rayner won't be inviting the Birmingham bin workers onto her podcast.

@2legged Add in the sizeable sum for her personal photographer. It was something like £80K IIRC. #Rayner has delusions of grandeur and leadership. Seems she’s learned nothing from her recent brush with HMRC and that property purchase. Nor has she learned anything about #Labour and the utter mess of the last 18 months plus. Imagine inviting the worst possible person, and a #Tory too, as you first guest to promote a Labour MP and potential future PM. Her & #Streeting need yeeted into the sun.

Exactly, @HarriettMB.

#Rayner spent 4 years in opposition and 18 months in government as loyal deputy to #Starmer while he lied and bullied his party, lied to voters, and backed a #genocide while criminalising the anti-genociders. Like #JohnPrescott 30 years before her, Rayner was the token prole who talked left while enabling the right.

But Labour has been purged of clueful members and stuffed with stooge MPs, so she's in with a chance of being the driver when Labour drives over the cliff.

@2legged She’s very marginally a better option than Streeting. Though I hope a third party will appear that everyone would willingly get behind and who would return Labour to the party it should be. Failing that: watching LibDem, Tories, Reform. Turning Point & Labour all fight for a share of the Right, while the Greens sweep the board for everyone else will be excellent.

@HarriettMB I think that Labour is way beyond any possibility of becoming significantly less shitty, let alone of redemption. The Corbyn surge was the last chance of revival, but the #McSweeney coup destroyed all that, and drove out the people who might have sustained a better direction.

So my priority is destroying it.
