@TJ1001 How about we abolish all taxes *except* VAT and levy that at, say, 40% on *all* transactions. So fine, you want to buy Twitter for £$x billion, you owe the govt 40%. You want to convert cash to gold and diamonds you can hide away? Just pay govt 40% and you can hide the gold
