I shop the day before she does and I take pictures of things that are on sale and offer her those as options. She makes her own decisions. Pre-cooked sauced ribs have been $9 at the local grocery store.
When she was done, she did a great job cleaning up and we went through our "dad is leaving ritual" which is a fist bump, an elbow bump, and a hip bump. Nice.
