@Bellingcat

Aka anti personnell mines

NAZIS DID THIS TOO, LAST CENTURY.

@darkerknight @Bellingcat According to the article it SEEMS to only be anti tank mines.
@Bellingcat We in the US are in a full fascist state and with a criminal military ๐Ÿคฌ
@Bellingcat isnt this super illegal

@djsf @Bellingcat

that's what a terrorist organization would do.
and a terrorist organization is exactly what the US is.

a terrorist org so rich and powerful very few people go on record calling them what they really are.

@djsf @Bellingcat
America never signed the Ottawa treaty.

And that is only for anti-personnel mines.

@djsf @Bellingcat not to the US it isnt - they never signed up to the Mine Ban Treaty: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottawa_Treaty

@Bellingcat Isn't this very specifically the kind of war crime that involves international warrants for arrest?
@nazokiyoubinbou @Bellingcat yes. except for the US and allies. because we live in bizarro world.
@capeta @Bellingcat I'd give almost anything to get back to the real timeline.
@Bellingcat Nazis doing Nazi stuff
@Bellingcat The U.S. is participating in more indiscriminate murder of civilians. This time in Iran.

@Bellingcat

Trump never learned the lessons of the Vietnam War since he weaseled his way out of it. You'd think he would have made it count, his life being spared and all, but no. He didn't even stop to consider for a moment that he should try to understand what went wrong there. When they talk about taking America back, they're talking about taking Americans back to a time where they didn't loudly criticize wars.

@Bellingcat aren't mines a warcrime? Not that the US cares about such things
@Permanent_Dinner @Bellingcat If memory serves, the US never signed that treaty. Not that it would stop them if it were to be otherwise, of course.

@Permanent_Dinner @Bellingcat

came to type this, i see you got there first

@Permanent_Dinner @Bellingcat Yes, to all the civil countries in the world the use of anti personnel mines is a war crime. The US do not consider themselves humane. They also donโ€™t agree with the international court of justice. So Vladimir Putin can go to Disney Land in the USA for a holiday and have no fear of arrest, but set foot in Europe or any other civil country and he will be arrested.
@kDelta @Permanent_Dinner @Bellingcat
Not a lawyer, but - it would be a treaty violation, not a war crime. Attacking Iran as a war of aggression is a war crime though.
@Bellingcat The shame of having to endure this "US" regime

@Bellingcat the problem with landmines is that they work really well. In this case making supporting that missile site a nightmare.

๐ŸŽต Some of these nation states are not like the others ๐ŸŽถ
From Wikipedia:

@Bellingcat oh look more war crimes
@earthshine @Bellingcat Next up: Cluster bombs.
@drwho @Bellingcat pretty sure we were already doing that one, but we excuse it by calling them precision guided cluster munitions.
