Interesting that #NewZealand is engaged in a big campaign to recruit #k12 #teachers from the US right now.

And it really seems like the right time to be doing this.

@ai6yr @kreynen not sure about the NZ pay. TBH I have not looked into it. But I am fairly confident that the working conditions and politics of teaching are better than here.

@ai6yr @bud_t @kreynen SF housing prices, Midwest salaries. Beautiful place and wonderful people but the cost of living pressures are very high and many NZ folks are leaving

@ai6yr @bud_t @kreynen food is wayyyyy more expensive than California. Like raw ingredients. Like garlic. It’s intense. I don’t understand how anyone lives there without a lot of support or family money.
