I could have sworn that there was a browser extension or self-hostable service that could manage your #Mastodon timeline (like a personal, adjustable algorithm) without harvesting everything for a third party LLM. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

If you're looking at that "Laurie Voss" @[email protected] thing you *really* need to click through and read all the way down the comments

That clown showed up on Mastodon earlier today and was *not* well-received, to put it mildly

The majority of responders ended up #Muting, #Blocking and #DomainBlocking his entire little self-hosted vacuum cleaner

He's quite proud of himself and the responses he got

A bright-eyed little troll coder-bro, IMO...

YMMV...

@FinchHaven I don't like the idea of my posts or anything getting fed into a plagiarism engine, but it's thoroughly out of my control. Whatever I post will go where it goes. That said, I post with some some rights reserved, so maybe one day I'll get a little check from a class action suit. #llm #ai #plagiarism #CopyLeft

Mute him, Block him, and DomainBlock the domain he's working from

Take control of your life, don't just shrug and surrender

@FinchHaven That's just not sustainable. What about anyone running his Zeitgeist client or something similar? I can't find and block all of them. All that any of us have control over is what we decide to post and to not forget that whatever we post is public.
