by reading current #news into #bible #prophecy (which is NOT a recommended way), namely #Daniel 7 & 8, (read the full chapters https://biblehub.com/bsb/daniel/7.htm https://biblehub.com/bsb/daniel/8.htm) one can see some interesting observations regarding the current #war between #USA / #Israel against #iran . I'll try to summarise #MyThoughts in this 🧵
Daniel 7 - Daniel’s Visions

In the first year of the reign of Belshazzar over Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his mind as he lay on his bed. He wrote down the dream, and this is the summary of his account. Daniel declared: “In my vision in the night I looked, and suddenly the four winds of heaven were churning up the great sea. Then four great beasts came up out of the sea, each one different from the others: The first beast was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man and given the mind of a man.

my main focus so far, is on the first two beasts/animals.
** The first ***was* like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

a lion [ #israel ], it had eagle's wings [ #usa ]. it's a formidable beast with unparalleled power to command land & sky. "I watched until its wings were torn off" ( USA is no longer supporting Israel) and "it was lifted up from the ground .. stand on two feet" became unstable (compare to "Like a lion, Israel crouches and lies down; like a lioness, who dares to arouse her?") "and [it was] given the mind of a man.", it became coward by replacing its "lion's heart" into a "a man's heart ".

** the second beast**, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and *it had* three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

I think the second beast is #iran , leaning to the side of the #gulf. the three ribs are #lebanon #iraq and #yemen that are already under its control. with the current trajectory of the #war, and assuming the first beast as before, #iran will be emboldened with its victory that it will "rise and devour much flesh" of the neighbouring countries in the gulf/ middle east

this may lead us to Daniel #8 with the vision of the "Ram & Goat" read the full chapter https://biblehub.com/bsb/daniel/8.htm but the main points is "two-horned ram that you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia [ #iran ]" and "The shaggy goat represents the king of *Javan *" [which is #turkey or #greece ].
Daniel 8 - Gabriel Interprets Daniel’s Vision

In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar, a vision appeared to me, Daniel, subsequent to the one that had appeared to me earlier. And in the vision I saw myself in the citadel of Susa, in the province of Elam. I saw in the vision that I was beside the Ulai Canal. Then I lifted up my eyes and saw a ram with two horns standing beside the canal. The horns were long, but one was longer than the other, and the longer one grew up later. I saw the ram charging toward the west and the north and the south. No animal could stand against him, and there was no deliverance from his power. He did as he pleased and became great.

that two-horned ram was attacking "... toward the west and the north and the south. " but not the East. this matches current #iran engagement in the region. it does NOT attack eastwards ( #pakistan , #afghanistan or #uzbekistan ). but "west = #gulf, north = #israel, south = #yemen )

now, if things are as mentioned before, the next logical relevant part would be Daniel 11 (full chapter https://biblehub.com/bsb/daniel/11.htm) specifically version#2 "Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in #Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than *they* all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of *Javan*."
Daniel 11 - Kings of the South and North

“And I, in the first year of Darius the Mede, stood up to strengthen and protect him. Now then, I will tell you the truth: Three more kings will arise in Persia, and then a fourth, who will be far richer than all the others. By the power of his wealth, he will stir up everyone against the kingdom of Greece. Then a mighty king will arise, who will rule with great authority and do as he pleases. But as soon as he is established, his kingdom will be broken up and parceled out toward the four winds of heaven. It will not go to his descendants, nor will it have the authority with which he ruled, because his kingdom will be uprooted and given to others.

consider that #iran had two supreme leaders, now it has its third. if war is concluded with lifting of sanctions, the next leadership may have enormous wealth to accumulate from #oil sales, lifted sanctions, rebuilding efforts ...etc. this may stir up old animosity with #turkey (Javan) as it will threaten its position in the Middle East.
