Next month is the #Sheffield #Adventure #FilmFestival.

Check out their schedule: https://shaff.co.uk/screenings

I haven't been for a while, but I plan on going again this year.

There's loads of films about #skiing, #snowboarding, #running, #climbing, #mountaineering, #surfing, #cycling etc, as well as some workshops about kit #repair and #activism etc.

I'm looking forward to it 🥳

Edit: add picture as their OG is broken

I managed to see a few films at the #Sheffield #Adventure #FilmFestival

On Friday I watched "Snow Films 1: https://shaff.co.uk/shaff26/snow-films

The first one was about a American trying to get the Women's Nordic Combined into the 2026 Winter Olympics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MC6naKkdo1c

Apparently it's the last discipline that is men only, which is kinda of strange.
I guess you can't fit all "niche" sports into the Olympics, but if the men's are included, I don't see why the women's can't be too.

The next one was about two friends doing some ski-trekking, with loads of nice mountain scenery.

Next, some friends went round Western Norway. Again, nice visuals, but nothing special. (https://vimff.org/film/sunnmore/)

The next (and my favourite of the 5) was about how two girls met doing Freeride World Tour and became friends.
Maude is a right character and very funny! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIeAEjHcvwY)

Lastly, there was "Going East", about some friends trying to go as far east from Europe as possible on public transport to go skiing. I did not know there were ski resorts in Turkey! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzHgzoPEJp4)
