To those who’ve set up #followRequests: Don’t be surprised if you’re currently receiving lots of requests from accounts that appear empty or look familiar.

@ClintonAnderson @duniamelayu My comment with the hashtag was deliberate, because I *don’t* want to start any gossip here!

We only have information from one side, and the principle applies that people are *innocent* until proven guilty in *court* (not social media!). Please bear this in mind!

Especially since, according to the media, at the time of publication neither a police investigation had taken place nor had any of the allegations been tested in court. The people who replied to me said

@ClintonAnderson @duniamelayu that it wasn’t sustainable for an instance of this size to depend on just one person others speak about a team. Many instances with such politics had already given up in the last time: they couldn't find volunteers or move servers, admins suddenly had no more time etc.

And people move proactively when the admin or mods become more and more silent. It's not a problem of this instance only.

So, please no social media gossip! (Meanwhile the admin is even harrassed)

@NatureMC @FediTips exactly. A good admin is super helpful, too. When I j̶o̶i̶n̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶u̶l̶t̶ migrated to Beige Party, our admin was super helpful, along with Fedi Tips. I'm as non-techie as it gets!
