40 years ago today, March 22, 1986, Dobie Gray debuted at #64 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “That’s One to Grow On”. It went on to peak at #35 and spent a total of 13 weeks on the chart.

It’s been my hobby to collect 45 RPM singles. I bought this song after hearing it on the radio. It sounded like a #1 hit to me. I think it’s so underrated and should have at least reached the Top 10.
