Tried something different on my run this morning and I did not enjoy it.
I need to get better at hills so I thought I’d do some hill repeats. So I ran two miles to the hill and then started with the downhill first, the easy part!
I decided to do them in mile segments but near the end of the first uphill, I realised I was bored of the same view. I didn’t want to quit my hill repeats attempt after mile two, so I did a deal with myself where I’d do repeats of 1 mile/ ¾ mile/ ½ mile/ ¼ mile for a total of 5 miles.
I found it tough, which I’d expected, so had some stops and walks. Then I went to run the two miles home via a different route but my body had other plans. I called it after a mile and sat on a bench in the sun for a bit before walking home.
