And our last question of the week:

Q8. It's weekly photo time, and almost the equinox. What did you see this week? Share a photo if you'd like. Cycling related or not is fine. Tell us about it!

@ascentale @bikenite A8. This week I built up an old frame to go on the turbo. So I could liberate my summer bike for outside use.

I can't help myself, I've made it too nice and now I want the new turbo bike for outside too ;-)

Dynamo on a turbo trainer!

Looks lovely and lean. Minimal wrap on the bars and keep it looking clean

@MatthewNewell @ascentale @bikenite I knew someone would notice that!

It's my crunchy bearing 60k km+ in all weathers one.

I believe SON service them. But, I'd have to take the hub out of the wheel and pay the post to Germany etc. And I didn't/haven't so far.

I quite like the combo as it makes me nostalgic. This bike & hub did most of my first long rides with me. (Audax SR, London to Paris, Dragon ride, etc). I can't face getting rid of it for peanuts.

@markn @ascentale @bikenite

Got two of them for my disc brake bike; one is in 650b and other in 700c - not sure I would know what to do without a dynamo on a daily basis.

Re Repairs - I think authorised dealers will do that for you, for a PRICE!

I am probably at same sort of mileage, maybe a shade more on thin/road and less on fat/gravel , but not crunchy or even noisy yet - guess I have been lucky.

Amazing riding in Germany. Do a bike trek and drop it off. Save one set of postage.

@MatthewNewell @ascentale @bikenite I love a trip with a dubious justification. Now I'm semi retired I stand much more of "accidently" finding myself on a ferry from Newhaven later this year.

@markn @ascentale @bikenite

I once had to explain that to the staff of a farm shop when they found out I was on a 100mile roundtrip to buy their beans.

I fail to understand how some people think this is a problem
