@xtaran asks:

Q3. If you have multiple gearings on your cycle (e.g. front and rear derailleurs or derailleur plus a gear hub), what are they and how do you usually use them? Bonus points if your cycle has more than two gearings.

A3.
I have a touring bike with a huge range.
The rear is a 10 speed 38-11 (but used to be a 9 speed 42-11), and the front is a 42-24
However, it's also currently got an electric conversion kit on it (250W front wheel drive).
As a result I hardly ever have to use the granny gear, unless the battery runs out, or I'm hauling very heavy loads.

A3 cont.
My other bikes are 1x setups. Same rear cassette (10sp 38-11) but the fronts are something like 32 teeth.
The idea is that the lowest gear allows me to get up my final steep hill coming home without too much crying, and the highest gear has me spinning out at about 35kph.
