In the last weeks/months, I've been using #PikaOS linux distro (both #kde and #cosmic)

Mostly because it has #nvidia drivers pre-installed. But I experienced a few issues and bugs

I think I'm done trying unknown distros

I recently learned that #ZorinOS can also come with nvidia so I think I'll try it

Zorin is well known and developed in #ireland

I wish I could find a good distro with Nvidia made in #canada

But, at least it's not coming from the USA. That's why I don't use Pop_OS anymore

@frank you can give https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/TUXEDO-OS_1.tuxedo a try. I use it on notebooks with NGreedia 1x0x mobile GPUs as those don't run acceptable with the open source driver and my brother in Law runs it on a notebook with an 4080 mobile
TUXEDO OS - TUXEDO Computers

TUXEDO OS: TUXEDO OS Modified Linux kernel Optimized for TUXEDO-Hardware Simple by default Powerful when needed Linux-qualified customer support Powered by KDE Plasma "Making Linux accessible to the general public" - this is our mission at TUXEDO ...

@TheOneDoc I thought Tuxedo was only selling hardware. I wasn't aware they had an OS.

It's obviously made in Germany, which I'm fine.

It has Nvidia drivers as well.

It seems more performant than ZorinOS, especially for gaming.

Doesn't have snaps.

I might actually download this instead. It looks much more interesting to me

@frank I was shopping around for a good Distro for Family members that had it with Microslope.

Case 1 My 80 years old Dad who wants his stuff to just work and the OS should have a good German localization TUXEDO has both.

Case 2 my sis needed something that runs well on her XMG notebook and as those are identical hardware to Tuxedo I figured I'd give thair distro a try.

They are both on it for almost 3 years now. We had one bad update, pipewire that got fixed after a couple a days.

You can report bugs and errors in there github or there reddit group even if you are not one of thair hardware customers.
