What's the greatest video game you've ever played in terms of giving you the feels?*

*feels can be any strong emotion, but I'm talking about the story, scenario or characters, so preferably not "rage-quitting" unless that's the the only time in gaming you've ever felt something πŸ˜„

@ChrisJagged Outer Wilds is a feelercoaster.

@woe2you

I was interested in that one, but I wasn't sure about the idea of only 20-some minute runs. I do play roguelites but they aren't time-restricted. I should probably get over myself and try it!

@ChrisJagged It's amazing. Look up nothing, go in blind.
@duckz
Any preference as to the original or remakes?
@ChrisJagged haven't played the remake yet so the orig!
@ChrisJagged dark horse choice? Thomas was Alone
@cpgsaw
I've heard the name but know zero about it, I'll look it up!
@ChrisJagged There are plenty of games that were great that gave me the feelsies, but one that stood out for me was Batman Arkham Knight on PC. Never got bored playing and the story just sucked me in.
@Esoteria Never played it, but I know it's a classic
@ChrisJagged
Life is Strange. God I cried like a baby multiple times playing that game.
@chifilly I really enjoyed that one too. I should get around to the newest one eventually
@ChrisJagged Passage. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passage_(video_game). There is even a web version for the posterity.
Passage (video game) - Wikipedia

@ChrisJagged Shadow of the Colossus. Unless you want to count the DOS space station construction game I played as a kid, and cried when I killed my favorite astronaut by accidentally leaving him out on EVA when I landed the Shuttle.

@attoparsec

That would be pretty traumatizing for a kid

@ChrisJagged greetin like a bairn with Walking Dead Telltale Season 1...
